There's been a current of excitement running through e-pharmacy start-ups for the past few months after the government issued the draft of the Medicines (Sale and Distribution) Rules, 2017 aiming at removing ambiguity on regulations to facilitate sales of medicines online. E-pharmacies, which have been apprehensive of aggressive expansion and marketing due to the absence of a regulator, are now busy chalking out their growth strategy for the next couple of years.

“The regulation gives us a level playing field where the terms and conditions are the same for both online and offline players.
